Ebook - ABIGAIL And The North Pole Adventure Review

ABIGAIL And The North Pole Adventure Review

I was excited to read the newest book by Tali Carmi featuring the fantastic Abigail and her magical bicycle. This time, Abigail's bike is taking her to the North Pole.  This was a topic that I knew my son would readily enjoy!

Abigail has a great trip to the North Pole.  She sees seals, an igloo, and meets a new friend named Siku. Together they rescue a baby polar bear cub.  This book is a great introduction to the differences in daily life and culture in the North.  It introduces some new ideas, values, and vocabulary words!

The illustrations are once again very vivid and bright and work together with the book to engage even the youngest children.  The subject matter is easily understood and could reach a large range of children.  I would definitely recommend this book for children aged 3-8.

Ebook - Abigail and the Sahara Adventure Review

Ebook - Abigail and the Sahara Adventure

Another Abigail book!  Abigail finds a magical bicycle in her grandparents' old house, and this time, the bicycle takes her to the magnificent Sahara Desert.  As Abigail explores the Sahara desert, the readers are introduced to many great ideas and lessons.

The first thing I loved about this book, was how it introduced kids to the Sahara Desert!  To many kids, this would be a new place and concept to learn about and I loved how seamlessly the kids are taught about new places in these stories!  The stories are fun AND educational and it is done very well!

The illustrations are well done and very bright.  They help to engage the younger readers (listeners) and add more dimension to the new places that they are learning about!

Overall, the story is cute and educational and I would definitely recommend this book for young children!

Children Books :Terry Treetop Finds New Friends written by Tami Carmi

A cute story about Terry Treetop and the friends and values he meets along his adventures. It is a cute story and has wonderful, vivid illustrations! The story is written for children around the ages 3-8.

The story follows Terry throughout a journey as he searches for a new friend.  The animals (with great names! Betty the Bee, Shelly the Sheep, Cherry the Chicken, and Kelly the Cow) he meets are all too busy to be Terry's friend and he continues searching for someone.   Terry finally decides to head home and finds a kitten stuck in a tree.  Finally a friend!  Terry uses his fantastic skill of climbing trees to reach the Kitty and save him! All of the characters go back to his treehouse

The illustrations were very well done, bright, and engaging.  They helped to tell the story along with the words, which helps drawn the younger readers/listeners into the story.
